Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the main opposition CPN-Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has urged the protesting teachers not to leave the government until their demands are met.
“Until your demands are met, you should not leave the government,” he said at a Newa Mukti Morcha program held in Kathmandu on Sunday. “Blow the whistle whenever you want. Do what you have to do, we are with you.”
Insurance Board Executive Director Dr. Raghuraj Kafle has stated that due to lack of manpower and adequate budget, Rs 24 billion will remain to be paid by mid-Ashar. Executive Chairman Kafle said that the board has only Rs 1 billion, but there is more than Rs 16 billion left to be paid, which is a problem in running the insurance program. ‘Around Rs 2 billion is spent on service providers every month. Expenditure is 15 times more than income,’ he said.
