Rajendra Lingden becomes the chairman of National Democratic Party. He won the on going election of National Democratic Party (Rastriya Prajatantra Party) against Kamal Thapa.
Rajendra Prasad Lingden got 1844 votes and Kamal Thapa got 1677 votes. Kamal Thapa accepted the defeat and congratulated Rajendra Lingden through social media.
