The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has given an ultimatum to the government to release its arrested leaders within 24 hours.
The RPP Central Working Committee meeting has warned of holding nationwide protest programs if its two leaders, Vice President Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dr. Dhaval Shumsher Jabra, are not released within 24 hours.
Rabindra and Dhaval Shamsher were involved in the violent royalist protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu on Friday. They were arrested by the police from their homes on Friday night.
RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden has said that the Central Working Committee meeting has given the government an ultimatum to release two leaders and others within 24 hours.
The RPP has concluded that the government was to blame for the violent incident in Tinkunek, in which two people, including a journalist, died.
