Shyam Ghimire has been nominated as the Chief Whip of Nepali Congress. The post of chief whip of the Congress was vacant after Ramesh Akhtar became the home minister on June 31.
Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has nominated Ghimire as the Chief Whip in accordance with Article 13 of the Constitution of the Parliamentary Party. Shyam Ghimire is a member of the House of Representatives elected from Sindhuli-1.
