Social worker Subedi’s birthday celebrated at Safalta HIV Education Center in Kirtipur

Kathmandu. The birthday of Megh Subedi, founder of Sejal & Sister LLC, America and senior social worker, was celebrated in a grand manner during a program. Organized by Sizzle & Sister Foundation, of which Subedi is known for her social service work in Nepal, the birthday of social worker Subedi was celebrated at the Safalta HIV Sikshya Sadan in Kirtipur on the special initiative of the organization’s Nepal President and Actor Sanjit Bhandari.

On the occasion of Subedi’s birthday, rice, lentils, sugar, and other food items worth about 100,000 rupees were provided to the Education Center, including 27 HIV-infected children. The children studying at the aid distribution program cut a cake and wished Subedi a happy birthday.

The program was formally conducted by director, program organizer and social worker Sameer Lama, while senior film director Madan Ghimire, recently famous musician Rajendra Bajgain, journalist and social worker Rajendra Luitel, director Jeevan Shahi, journalist and lyricist Geeta Adhikari, Foundation Program Coordinator Rajan Bhandari, Foundation Secretary and Treasurer DR Sigdel, member Sangita Khadka, photographer, director and journalist Kuber Tamang, Swastika Panthi and Dipesh Gurung of Chhito Post, and Churo Khabar editor and singer Pramod Digi were present.
The personalities present wished Subedi a happy birthday and discussed the social service he has done in Nepal. Similarly, the principal of the school, Manju Mahat, thanked the Foundation family for celebrating the birthday of a great person in their school and providing relief materials and encouraging us.
Speaking at the program, Nayak Bhandari and Foundation Chairman Bhandari expressed his commitment to further carry forward the social service work that social worker Megh Subadi had been doing personally in the past through the institutional foundation in a more effective and powerful manner in line with the objectives of the foundation. He also informed that the foundation will remain ready to provide support in any situation and will continue to move forward.

In the previous days, it had also been helping many helpless ashrams and during disasters and had provided relief assistance of more than 5 million rupees to the earthquake victims in Jajarkot. Similarly, recently, blankets and household essentials were distributed to about 500 families in Sindhupalchowk and Kavre.
