The rescue of the bodies of the crashed Saurya Airlines plane at Tribhuvan Airport has started. According to the police, fire brigade, security personnel and ambulance were deployed for search and rescue after the accident of 9N-AME ship that crashed at 11:12 on Wednesday morning. The plane took off from Runway 02 and crashed near Runway 20 towards the east, the airport said.
According to the information given by SSP Dineshraj Mainali, spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Captain Manish Shakya of the ship is undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Medical College.
SSP Mainali said that his condition is that he can speak but his eyes are injured. The fire was brought under control at 11:40. There were 19 people on board, including 2 crew members. Mainani informed that all the passengers were employees of Solar Air. According to him, all the dead bodies collected have been taken to Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital.
