Tribhuvan University (TU) has made arrangements to transfer credit to students facing difficulties at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India.
In a statement issued today, TU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khadga KC informed that arrangements have been made to enroll students who returned home due to the problems created at KIIT University in India as per TU’s ‘Credit Transfer’ policy.
“We would like to inform all concerned that Nepali students who were forced to return home due to the problems created at KIIT in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, can enroll in the programs and subjects run at Tribhuvan University if they wish to study,” KC said in a statement.
They have been requested to contact rectoroffice@tu.edu.np and rector@tu.edu.np. A few days ago, Prakriti Lamsal died mysteriously in the KIIT hostel. After that, due to insecurity, Nepali students have left their studies and returned to Nepal.
