The Supreme Court has given an interim order not to implement the decision of Kakani Rural Municipality of Nuwakot to collect entry fee from vehicles carrying waste from Kathmandu. The rural municipality through its financial act decided to charge 1500 from large garbage trucks and 1000 from small ones from July 1.
Hearing the writ petition filed by the Garbage Management Association against it, the single bench of Supreme Court Justice Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada said not to implement the decision to charge the fee.
