The famous Bhimeshwar Temple of Dolakha has sweat on its stone. Bharat Shrestha, chairman of the Bhimeshwar Puja and Guthi Management Committee, informed that sweat has been pouring into the sheela of the Bhimeshwar temple since 1:47 this afternoon.
Shrestha said that sweat came from Shila’s left side. According to him, the process of sweating is still going on. There is a popular belief that if sweat comes from the left side of the Sheela of Bhimeshwar, it will bring bad luck to the people.
After sweating on the stone of Vimesan, it is customary for the local people to gather together and play gongs, nagara, and local instruments to wish for no evil and hit the stone with a stick. After Bhimsen sweats, all kinds of instruments including bells are played so as not to bring evil to the country and the people.
A large number of pilgrims have reached the temple premises as soon as the news of the sweating became public. The sweat on the stone is wiped with cotton and given to the pilgrims in a sequential manner.
It is said that those who sweat on the stone of Vimsen will bring bad luck to the nation, the head of state, the government and the people. It is estimated that there will be great evil in the country where sweat comes from all parts of the rock. If it comes from the right, the head of state and the government, and if it comes from the left, there is public trust that will be bad for the people.
