India has entered the semi-finals of the ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup. India entered the semi-finals after defeating Australia by 24 runs in the ‘Super 8’ match on Monday. Chasing the target of 206 runs given by India, Australia scored 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.
After losing the toss and being invited to bat, India scored 205 runs losing 5 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. India has crossed the 200-run mark for the first time in the ongoing World Cup.
Captain Rohit Sharma scored the highest 92 runs for him. Sharma, who faced 41 balls, hit 7 fours and 8 sixes. Sharma was dismissed by Australia’s Mitchell Starc.
