Afghanistan won a historic victory over Australia in the Super 8 match under ICC T20 World Cup cricket. Afghanistan, who batted first in the match on Sunday morning, bowled out Australia in 19.2 overs and won by 21 runs.


Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran scored fifties for Afghanistan, who batted first. Gurbaz, who played 49 balls, scored 60 runs by hitting four fours and a six. Another opener Jadran scored 51 runs off 48 balls by hitting 6 fours. Karim Janat added 13 runs for him while Mohammad Nabi scored 10 runs not out. Afghanistan played the entire 20 overs and scored 148 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
