Lalitpur- The meeting of Nepal Scout, Bagmati Province Scout, Lalitpur Metropolitan Scout, and Local Scout Council was held on Friday. The meeting organized at Siddhartha Cottage in Dhobighat, Lalitpur was attended by the office bearers, members, chief guests, and special guests of the local Scout Council. Representatives of local security agencies such as the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Traffic Police, City Police, etc. were also present as ex-officio members of the council meeting.
The meeting was chaired by the Council Chairperson, ABM Lalitpur Metropolitan Deputy Chief Manjali Shakya Bajracharya. The Patron of Lalitpur Metropolitan Scout, ABM City Chief Chiribabu Maharjan, and the International Commissioner of Nepal Scout, Devraj Ghimire, participated as special guests. The Education Director, Scout office bearers, and members presented their views in the meeting.
The program was formally started with the national anthem and scout song. On the same occasion, the annual report of the local Scout Council was presented by the Chief Commissioner of Lalitpur Metropolitan Scout, Mr. Pawan Koirala, and various development plans, measures to increase membership and expand educational outreach were discussed.
Various guests present at the program gave their best wishes. The chief guest, Maharjan, discussed the role of scouts and its effectiveness, highlighted the steps necessary to make the scout campaign more effective in the coming years, and expressed his desire for cooperation between the Lalitpur Metropolitan Scout Office and Lalitpur Metropolitan. The program was also attended by the Director of Education of Lalitpur Metropolitan and Member Secretary of Metropolitan Scouts, Devi Prasad Upadhyay, and the current Education Chief and Member Secretary, Mahendra Bahadur Chhetri. The program was moderated by Shyam Kumar Maharjan.
At the end of the program, expressing his vote of thanks, the President of the Council, Manjali Shakya Bajracharya, expressed her commitment to implement the proposals presented in the meeting.
