A tiger that attacked people on the banks of Narayani river has been taken into custody. Attempts were made to control it throughout the day, but the tiger was controlled by darts only late in the evening.
Dr. Vijay Kumar Shrestha, a senior veterinary doctor of Chitwan National Park informed that a five-year-old male tiger was taken into custody near the Narayani Bank near the human settlement in Narayangadh. With the help of three elephants of the park, the tiger was surrounded and taken under control.
After two elephants ran away from Trasier this afternoon, more elephants were brought and the tiger was brought under control. He informed that the darted tiger will be taken to the cage of the National Nature Conservation Fund in Sauraha.
