Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that there will be an impartial investigation into the Tinkune incident.
Prime Minister Oli, who returned home after completing his official visit to Thailand on Saturday, made this statement while talking to media persons at Tribhuvan International Airport.
In response to a question from media persons, he said that there is a demand for a judicial investigation into the Tinkune incident. He said that a judicial investigation may or may not take place. He said that he will consider whether to form a judicial investigation into the Tinkune incident or not.
He said that a judicial investigation is not necessary in all matters.
On Chaitra 15, royalists staged a violent protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu. Two people were killed and several others were injured in the protest.
