The festival of Ram Navami, celebrated on the ninth day of the bright month of Chaitra, is being celebrated today with devotion and worship of Lord Shri Ramchandra.
Shri Ramchandra was born on the ninth day of the bright moon of Chaitra, the son of King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya Devi of Ayodhya in the Treta Yuga. Considered to be the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, he was born in the Punarvasu Nakshatra. In the horoscope, he had the conjunction of Jupiter with the Moon and the conjunction of Cancer.
Lord Ramchandra’s horoscope had a rare conjunction of the five planets Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn.
The government has also declared a public holiday today on the occasion of Ram Navami
