Durga Prasai, the leader of the Joint People’s Movement Committee formed to restore the monarchy, has said that the Nepal government killed a young man during today’s protest.
He alleges that today’s unpleasant situation has arisen due to government repression.
‘I will come wherever you ask me to, the movement will not stop if I am detained’
He has said that the police do not need to keep coming to arrest him. He says that the police will come wherever they are called.
Writing a status on social media, he said, ‘Friends, I have just received information about my arrest. The police don’t have to keep coming to arrest me, I will come wherever you call me. Now the movement will not stop even if I am arrested because Durga is no longer a person, but an idea, a campaign.’
