Kathmandu. ‘Trade Show Teej Special 2023’ has been organized by the Nepal Women’s Chamber under the Nepal Chamber of Commerce targeting Teej. Rajendra Malla, the president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, inaugurated the fair, which was organized to promote women entrepreneurship in the display and sale of various items produced by Nepali women entrepreneurs.
In the opening speech, President Malla expressed the hope that the Nepal Women’s Chamber was established for the overall development of women and that this fair would increase the development of women’s entrepreneurship and the participation of women in social, cultural and economic activities. President Malla thanked the Nepal Women’s Chamber for this kind of creative work saying that the country can achieve economic prosperity only if women are financially empowered.
The general secretary of Nepal Women’s Chamber and fair coordinator Lima Adhikari said that 25 women entrepreneurs participated in the one-day fair, which included musical programs, fashion shows and dances. Singers Rekha Shah, Sujata KC, Poonam Kafle, Savitra Bhujel and others gave attractive performances in the program.
Urmila Shrestha is the president of Nepal Women’s Chamber and she is also the vice president of Nepal Chamber of Commerce.
