The Department of Water and Meteorology said the weather in Tuvalo was unlikely to improve immediately as the atmosphere remained stable for the next three days. The department has mentioned that even though it is normal to get blankets in different parts of the country due to very low rainfall even before the pre-monsoon Monday. At present, the atmosphere in most parts of the country is stable, so the particles of pollution float in the lower part of the atmosphere without scattering. A statement issued by the department’s spokesperson Suman Kumar Regmi on Monday said that the smoke particles created by the fires in many parts of the country have accumulated in the atmosphere. Especially in urban areas including the federal capital Kathmandu, where the level of pollution is already higher than normal, the amount of dust is high and as a result, the transparency of the atmosphere is significantly reduced and people’s life has become abnormal. The department has requested all to wear masks and take necessary precautions if they have to go out of the house and if necessary, to avoid the negative health effects such as eye burns and respiratory problems due to the towel. The department says that even if the weather is seen to be mild in the coming days, the situation will depend on the situation. This year, the post-monsoon season in Nepal has received much less than average rainfall in most places and last winter, most places have received below average rainfall. According to the statement, climate change in March, April and May in Nepal is likely to be 60 to 80 percent above average and 40 to 60 percent below average. The department has drawn attention to the problems like shortage of drinking water, fire and fire during this period.
