Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have been living a quieter, more peaceful life in London since 2024, stepping away from the constant public attention that follows them in India. While they continue to visit India for professional commitments, the real reason behind their decision to relocate has now been revealed — and it’s all about family and privacy.

During a candid conversation on his health and wellness podcast, Dr. Sriram Nene — husband of actress Madhuri Dixit — shared insights into a conversation he had with Anushka Sharma. He explained that the couple decided to move to London to provide their children with a more normal upbringing, away from the relentless spotlight and pressure of fame.

“They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here,” Dr. Nene said. He added, “Anything they do attracts attention. It almost becomes isolating.” He also said that while the love from fans is appreciated, the constant attention can become intrusive, even during simple moments like dining out. “Anushka and Virat are lovely people who just want to raise their kids normally,” he emphasized, highlighting how the move was an emotional move. Having said that, it is also a carefully thought-out decision.

Anushka and Virat’s relationship has been one of Bollywood and cricket’s most loved stories. They first met in 2013 during a commercial shoot and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Italy in 2017. The couple welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021 and their son Akaay in February 2024, expanding their beautiful family. Virat Kohli is currently playing in the Indian Premier League.
