Kathmandu: The World Hindu Youth Artists Association–Nepal, National and International Committee has successfully concluded its Executive Committee Formation and Tea Reception Program, marking a significant step toward strengthening cultural and artistic engagement rooted in Hindu values.
The program was chaired by artist and director Shiban Pokharel, with Rabindra Khadka, artist and former President of the Film Artists Association, attending as the Chief Guest. Rishikesh Jung Shah, President of the World Hindu Youth Association’s National and International Committee, was present as a Special Guest.
During the event, a new executive committee was officially formed under the leadership of Shiban Pokharel. The newly elected office bearers include Gopal Dhakal (Chhande) as Vice President, Pujan Kaphle as Women Vice President, Pawan KC as General Secretary, and Pabitra Acharya as Secretary.
Similarly, Pushkar Dhanuke was selected as Joint Treasurer, Devendra Shahi as Spokesperson, and journalist Prakash Baraili ‘Abhivyakti’ as Press Coordinator. The Treasurer will be nominated at a forthcoming meeting.
The committee members include Shital KC, Sarita Rajopadhyay, Keshav Adhikari, Shree Thapaliya, Darpan GC, Dinesh Dangi, Rajkumar Shah, Babi Roza Dhakal (Babita), Suraj Adhikari (Sur Rocks), Raju Thapa, Ram Krishna Shrestha, and Rabina Karki.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Pokharel stated that the newly formed committee will soon convene to finalize the remaining positions and departmental structures, while an Advisory Committee will also be constituted in the first meeting. He emphasized that the association aims to unite artists who are committed to the preservation, promotion, and protection of Hindu religion and culture.
Pokharel further noted that the organization will prioritize Eastern philosophy, education, yoga, meditation, art, and culture, and plans are underway to establish additional international committees. He also announced that a press conference will be organized in the near future to unveil a grand cultural program.
