The government is going to increase the age limit of 45 years for aircraft cabin crew (attendants/hostesses) to 50 years.
On Saturday, after a discussion with non-agitating cabin crew members demanding the removal of the age limit of 45 years, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badriprasad Pandey, instructed the corporation to increase the age limit from 45 years to 50 years.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Minister Pandey said that the government has taken the issue of cabin crew members being discriminated against, deprived of various services and facilities, and that they have not been heard, and the government has taken it seriously and resolved the issue.
