he government has decided to expand heart disease treatment services to all provinces. The Shaheed Gangalal National Heart Disease Center Board of Directors meeting presided over by Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has decided to extend the heart disease treatment services currently available in Bagmati province through the center to 6 more provinces.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Paudel proposed that cancer treatment has already started as part of the plan to expand specialized treatment through provincial hospitals in all provinces, and proposed to decide to expand the treatment of heart disease as well. Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, the spokesperson of the ministry, informed that the ministry has recently started preparations to run the burn treatment service in all provinces free of charge with its own resources after the approval of the funds.
Minister Paudel had announced on the 27th of Shrawan that specialized treatment services would be expanded through provincial hospitals.
