-Dr. DR Upadhyay,

Now, if the country is to move forward on the right path and at the pace of development, the political parties need to emphasize on national consensus. The kind of games that are being played by one team over another are not in the interest of the country. Now it seems that the political parties have to be serious and work in the interest of the country. All parties should think for the country. The country should not be ruined by engaging in personal interests. The people are suffering.

The needs of the people are increasing day by day. Political parties and the government should be serious about the problems of the people. I have repeatedly written on behalf of the people. But no one has heard. They pretend not to hear. Problems happen everywhere, the big thing is how to solve the problem. The current government’s minimum common program has also been made public. For the implementation of this minimum common program, the Council of Ministers should be completed as soon as possible. The budget brought by the previous government from the ordinance has been submitted to the parliament. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Corona infection is on the rise and vaccination has not yet been streamlined.

The education sector is problematic. In order to solve all these problems and make economic and social activities dynamic, it is necessary for the government to increase its activism. These problems can only be solved through the effective implementation of the United Nations Minimum Common Program. It is also the wish of the common people that the coalition government formed with the support of Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Rastriya Janamorcha and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal should think in the interest of the country.

This minimum common program, which has been agreed upon by the participating parties to run a united government, has taken the policy of initiating a national consensus. This is a positive message. The joint government has given top priority to vaccination. The government has said that free vaccination will be provided to one third of the people by September and all Nepalis eligible to be vaccinated by mid-April and efforts will be made to set up a vaccine lab in Nepal for vaccine production.

The government has expressed commitment to manage the necessary medicines, equipment and health items and to take action against the culprits by investigating the irregularities in the procurement of health items. The implementation of federalism and the strengthening of the federal democratic republic are also among the priorities of the joint program.

The minimum common program states that the jurisdiction and interrelationship of the three tiers of government will be implemented in accordance with the constitution, rights and responsibilities will be transferred, necessary laws will be made, financial transfers will be increased and state and local levels will be empowered. The government has also expressed its commitment to resolve the border issue in the areas including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulek through diplomatic channels.

The task of controlling the rising prices and arranging easy and accessible supply of food, petroleum and other essential daily necessities of the people has been included in the joint program. A policy of maintaining national consensus on foreign relations has been adopted. The government has emphasized on bringing programs to help Nepal reach the level of a developed country, creating an investment-friendly environment on the basis of cooperation between the government and the private sector, and attracting domestic and foreign investment. The minimum common program of the joint government should not only be made public, it should be implemented quickly.
