The Butwal bench of the Tulsipur High Court, which sent National Independent Party President Rabi Lamichhane to detention, is set to move the Supreme Court against the order.

Addressing the inaugural program of the Janayatra organized by the party in Bharatpur, Vice President Dr. Swarnim Wagle said that they will approach the Supreme Court against the High Court order next Monday.

“Today’s program has been ruined. Ravi Lamichhane should have been here in my place. His case has been weaponized. He had said he would tell what happened during his 84 days in detention. Yesterday, a coup was adopted to prevent him from saying that,”

Wagle said, “Now we will move forward as per Raviji’s advice. We will take this illegal and vindictive practice that has been going on since Monday to the Supreme Court.”

He also said that he would internationalize the issue of Ravi’s suspension from his MP post. ‘His MP post has been placed under suspension.

“It is understood that after being sent to detention for a preliminary hearing today, some regulations of the House of Representatives will be violated again,” he said. “We have resolved to move forward in a way that internationalizes the issue of parliamentary office.”

He also said that the Rastriya SwatantraParty (RaSwaPa) is ready to find a solution to the current government’s problems, saying that it is not justified.
