Rescue & Relief Works Will Be More Effective: Prime Minister Oli

 Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government will continue the rescue, relief and reconstruction work of victims of floods, landslides and inundation in an effective manner.Attending the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations, while answering the questions raised by the media persons in the very special room of the Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday afternoon, he mentioned that the government has done rescue and relief work according to its plan and expressed the promise to continue it more effectively.

Prime Minister Oli also said that even though the government is doing rescue and relief work, it is not good for the family to protest for the sake of protest. He said that it is desirable for everyone to work together in a realistic manner during a sensitive time like a disaster. Prime Minister Oli claimed that even though he was sitting outside, he gave instructions to the relevant parties and agencies to deal with the disaster and the government also acted accordingly. He also reminded that the government held an immediate meeting in the areas affected by floods, landslides and inundation and mobilized the army and police for rescue and relief.

Prime Minister Oli also said that he met with his Indian counterpart Modi while participating in the General Assembly and discussed various issues of bilateral interest. In the same way, Prime Minister Oli said that global problems such as climate change should be solved by all the countries of the world together. He said that he also emphasized in the General Assembly that countries that cause the effects of climate change should invest more for compensation.

On that occasion, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amrit Bahadur Rai, informed about the meeting of the heads of state and heads of government held by Prime Minister Oli while participating in the General Assembly.
