Rojina Shrestha of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWAPA) has been elected as the ward president of ward number 16 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. While Shrestha of Raswap was elected with 1,584 votes, his rival Devendra Pathak of Nepali Congress got 1,304 votes.
UML’s Lakshmiratna Tuladhar got 1218 votes. Meen Bahadur Manandhar of CPN United Samajwadi Party (S) got 651 votes while Shyamakrishna Shrestha of RPP got 622 votes. Independent candidate Devendra Kumar Shrestha got 314 votes while another independent Sam Shakya got 118 votes.
