Sunkoshi & Bagmati River Crosses Danger Level, Stay Alert Warnings

Due to incessant rain, the water level in almost all rivers from Arun in Sankhuwasabha in the east to Banganga in Kapilvastu district in the west has reached the danger level, according to the Meteorological Department.

In the special flood notice issued by the Department of Water and Meteorology, it is mentioned that some of the rivers Arun, Dudhkoshi, Sunkoshi, Bagmati, Narayani, Tinau and Wanganga and their tributaries have crossed the warning level and some are close to the danger level.

According to the department, the water level in Sunkoshi and Bagmati rivers is above the danger level and Arun, Dudhkoshi, Narayani, Tinau and Wanganga have also crossed the alert level.

Even now, it is continuously raining in the catchment area of ​​all those rivers and more heavy rain is predicted for the next 24 hours. The department has also requested everyone not to go on unnecessary journeys and stay safe as it is raining continuously.
