Indian Test cricket team captain Virat Kohli has resigned. In a statement issued on Saturday, Kohli said that he had resigned from the captaincy. Kohli, who took over as captain of the Test cricket team in 2014, said he had worked honestly throughout the period. “There were many ups and downs during the journey but I did not allow it to falter,” he said in a statement.
He thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India for giving him the opportunity to captain. He resigned as captain of the T20 cricket team just two months ago.
